Loading From Deadheads

Another convenient way of creating travels is to load data from existing deadhead records using the Load From Deadheads feature.

Note: The Interline deadheads are identified as Swing in the Load from Deadheads dialog box.
  1. Click Runcutting > Load from Deadheads.

When you click Load, the Load dialog box appears.

The Load from Deadheads dialog box appears.

The Swing and Garage check boxes are selected by default.

  2. From the Servicegroup list, select the service from which you want to copy travels
  3. To load one type of deadhead, clear the check box of the type you do not want (Swing or Garage).

To load both types of deadheads, leave both check boxes selected.

  4. Optional: If the transit site pays for these travels, select the Paid Travels check box.
  5. Optional: To view the comments associated with the deadheads, select the Comments check box.
  6. Click Load.
If you do not have any travels, the Load dialog box appears. This is the same Load dialog box that appears with the Waits and Travels dialog box.
