Adding New Trip Comments

When developing a new comment you can add it directly to the associated trips.

  1. On the Trips tab of the Trip Building screen, select the trip to which you want you want to add a comment.
  2. Click theEdit Button: Edit button
  3. Click the Comments tab.
    The direction of the selected trip appears by default in the Direction dropdown list.
  4. To apply the comment to a whole trip, select the Trip option.
    Alternatively, select the Trip Time option to apply the comment to a specific time. From the dropdown list beside it, select the node associated with the time you want.
  5. In the Comment field, click the ellipsis button: Ellipses button
    The Comments dialog appears.
  6. In the Select Comment dialog, click New. The Abbr and Symbol fields are activated and the middle frame is cleared.
  7. In the Abbr field, type an abbreviation for the comment.
  8. In the middle frame, type the full text of the comment.
  9. To attach the trip schedule to a report, type a symbol in the symbol field.The Full text of the comment may be added to the end of the report.

  10. In the User Type dropdown list, select a type of comment if you defined any in the ancillary data. This field can be used as another way to filter the data.
    If you applied a User Type to a comment, select the user type in order to see it in the list of comments when searching that user type to a comment, select that user type in order to see it in the list of comments when searching for comments in the select comments dialog.
  11. Click Save.
    The new comment is added to the list of comments that can be applied to trips. The first abbreviation on the list is highlighted by default.
