Adding Shape Points to Segments

Change the shape of a segment by adding shape points. The end points of the segment remain in the shape.

Make sure that you have write access to the map data.
  1. On the MapEdit screen, make sure the Select Point button is pressed by performing one of the following steps:
    • Click Map > Points Mode.
    • On the toolbar, click the Select Point button: Select Point button
  2. Select the segment to which you want to add a shape point.
  3. Click Edit > Add, or click the Add button: Add button
  4. Click one or more locations where to add new shape points.
  5. Optional: To delete the shape point that was last added, click Edit > Delete, or click the Delete button: Delete button
  6. Click Edit > Save, or click the Save button: Save button

    The new shape point appears in cyan and MapEdit draws the new segment shape.

  7. To add more shape points to the segment, continue clicking them on the map.
