Ridership Analysis automates the entire process by gathering and organizing route level
and one-way directional route mile data.
The systematic and flexible process of collecting ridership
data involves the following steps:
-
Create randomly sampled trip extractions according to established NTD plans. Alternatively, you can define your own processes to create ridership checks that are not random samples in order to evaluate specific areas within your transit system.
-
Generate a list of trips that will be checked on particular dates and then print survey
sheets for manual data collection or download the surveys into handheld computers.
-
Enter the collected check data, either manually or electronically into the system. This
includes importing data from other sources and storing the data in one database. In
addition, you can edit the data manually.
-
Print the required reports or other reports for performance measurements. Trapeze can
also create custom reports based on your transit site’s specific needs. Contact your
Trapeze representative for more information.
In addition to collecting and organizing data for route analysis, Ridership Analysis
allows you to examine on time performance and use data at the node/stop level.
