Setting the Context

Spatial Analysis allows you to view data for specific trips scheduled in Trapeze FX. However, trips vary from one service to another (for example, from weekday to Saturday) and from one sign-up period to another in the FX schedule.

For this reason, you must isolate data by selecting the appropriate sign-up period in the Set Mode dialog box. The set of parameters in the dialog box is called the context. The system searches for check data that is available for the sign-up period that you have defined, which it then displays in the Spatial Analysis screen.
  1. In the Trapeze4 workstation, do one of the following: steps
    • Click File > Set Mode.
    • Press F3.
The Set Mode dialog box appears.

The fields that are in boldface are considered mandatory. If you choose to set the context first before opening the Spatial Analysis screen, all the fields in the Set Mode dialog box are in regular typeface.

  2. Optional: From the Agency drop-down list, select the appropriate agency.
  3. From the Signup Period drop-down list, select the appropriate sign-up period.
  4. Optional: Set the data in the other fields to further define your data selection.
  5. Click OK.
The Exception Combo field is applied in Trapeze FX.
The data associated with the selected values appear in the Spatial Analysis screen.
