Setting up Check Types

The names given to check types depend on the need of your transit site and the types of checks that occur.

Check types may be planned according to seasonal variations in ridership and labeled with dates or be categorized to assess the services offered by the transit site such as Route Planning.

The Ridership Analysis dialog box shows four tabs: Ridecheck, Pointcheck, Ridecheck Comments, and Pointcheck Comments. You set up ride check types on the Ridecheck tab and point check types on the Pointcheck tab.

  1. Click File > Ancillary Data > Fixed > Ridership.

  2. Click Add.
    If the Ridecheck tab is open, the Add Ridecheck Type dialog box appears.

    If the Pointcheck tab is open, the Add Pointcheck Type dialog box appears. It is similar to the Add Ridecheck Type dialog box.

  3. In the Abbr field, type the abbreviation for the type.
  4. In the Name field, type the Name for the type.
  5. Click OK.
