Changing Permissions For Users and User Groups

You can change individual permission for a user or user group.

The Trapeze6 Client Shell must be open.
  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Tools > Security.

      Depending on your system setup, Security may be found in a different location.

    • Click the Security shortcut:
      A key with the word Security printer under it.
    The Security screen appears.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Navigate to Security > Users.
    • Navigate to Security > User Groups.
  3. Click the user or user group for which you want to change permissions.
  4. Select the permission you want to change.
    The Calculate Timekeeping folder selected with the Do Calculation permission key highlighted and the Effective Permission of grant shown.
  5. Click in the Permission column and click the permission level you want to set for this key.
    A drop-down list in the Permission column is clicked with the deny, grant, none, and override options shown.
  6. Click Save.
    The Permission column shows the just assigned permission level.

    The Effective Permission column shows the actual permission level the user or user group has. This may differ from the just-assigned level based on precedence.
