About Floodgate Messaging

Floodgate Messaging allows the automatic delivery of standard or generic notifications through IVR to all or a large segment of Demand Response customers during specific conditions defined by the transit agency's policies.

An example of when Floodgate Messaging can be useful is during extreme weather conditions. It can be used to issue warnings about the weather that is expected to cause serious service disruptions.

The application allows creation and distribution of notifications based on the client profiles, trips, and operational procedures of the transit agency.

This guide assumes the following possible scenarios where Floodgate Messaging may be installed:
  • Transit agency has Trapeze PASS and PASS-Web.
  • Transit agency has PASS.
