Table 1. Terms Used in DriverMate
Term Description
Event Any activity that you execute such as pick-up, drop-off, pull-out, and break.
Action Every event has one or more actions associated with it. Some actions are about logging information, for example, indicating an event has begun, and completing a checklist. Other actions are part of the event, for example, collecting fares and adding passengers. If you think of the manifest as an appointment calendar telling you where to go, then actions are what you do when you get there.
Manifest Refers to a list of events that you are provided at the start of your shift. This list includes both revenue events, for example, pick-up and drop-off, and non-revenue events, for example, pull-out and lunch break. The events are generated by your agency's scheduling department.

The order of events is arranged in the most efficient possible manner based on your agency's rules and calculations.

Think of the manifest as an appointment calendar guiding you through the day. It tells you where you have to be, when you have to be there, and why you are going there.
