Disabling Security

Before setting up PASS Real Time Views, may need to disable security.

Before you begin

The Trapeze6 Service Shell must be open.

About this task

Disabling security allows you to log in and set up an administrative user. If you already have a user with administrative privileges, you do not need to perform these steps; you can log in with the existing administrative user name and password.
Important: After setting up the Administrative user, re-enable security. While security is disabled, authentication is not required for any system user.

Procedure

  1. In the Service Shell window, click File > Trace Options.
    The Trace Options dialog box appears.
  2. On the Switches tab, expand the Core folder and the Security folder.
    Security options appear.

  3. Click Authenticate.
  4. In the Boolean Switch frame, click OFF.
  5. Click Check Permissions.
  6. In the Boolean Switch frame, click OFF.
  7. Click OK.
