The following sections list the Block Optimizer parameters in each Situation by Group:
Run Types (Group)
The Run Types Group is composed of the run types that you have created for your transit site.
Extra Shift
The Extra Shift rule is used when you are creating runs with more than one shift break. The rule has to be used in conjunction with the Extra Break Time rule. In Block Optimizer, if you don’t have an extra break you cannot have an extra shift.

Parameter	Description
Extra shift minimum	The minimum length of the extra shift.
Extra shift maximum	The maximum length of the extra shift.
