About Geocoding Nodes and Stops

After defining and naming the node and/or stop, you can choose to geocode it. Geocoding is the process of defining the exact location of a node on the system map.

If you are not using mapping data from another application or to specify the location of the stops on the various segments, select the LCR check box in the Nodes Edit dialog box.

The Edit tab of the Edit dialog box provides you with fields to geocode newly added nodes and stops. It includes the use of the Mouse: Mouse button and Address Matching: Address Matching button buttons to apply latitude/longitude coordinates to the selected point in the system map.

Geocoding the nodes and stops is important if you also use Trapeze INFO-Agent and other automatic information systems.
