Defining Screen and Print Output

You can define the output appearance of the map layers separately for screen and print formats.

The Layer Control dialog box must be open.
  1. Make any changes that you want to the map layers.
  2. Identify where the map binary files reside:
    1. Click Tools > System Properties.
    2. On the Profile tab, click Trapeze Map Data > Binary data path.
      On the right side of the dialog box, the path where the map files are stored appears.
  3. Click Save As.
    The Save As dialog box appears.
  4. In the Save in field, navigate to the directory where the map binary files are stored.
  5. In the File name field, type the name of your new setting in this format: MapLayout_[name of your new file]. For example, MapLayout_Custom.
  6. In the Save as type list, select Map Layout Files (MapLayout_*.xml).
  7. Click Save.
The setting is saved as an .xml file, and the name appears in the list in the top left corner of the Layout Control dialog box.
