Reasons for Editing Maps
Maps may require editing for a variety of reasons such as they may not adequately serve a transit site's needs or they may have become outdated.
If a map does not exactly represent your current service area, you might not need to edit the map if the differences are not relevant for your purposes. For example:
- If new streets are added in a subdivision, a Trapeze PASS user who needs to geocode trips in the subdivision would benefit from adding the missing street segments. However, a Trapeze FX user would not require the street segments in the map if no bus lines are planned in the subdivision.
- If street address ranges are incorrect in a map, Trapeze PASS users who expect trips to be geocoded to such segments would benefit from corrected street addresses. However, a Trapeze FX user might not require corrected street address ranges.
- If private roads are missing from a map, a Trapeze FX user would need to add the roads to geocode bus lines on the private roads. However, a Trapeze PASS user might not need to add the missing segments.
