Building a Second Map File

If a map file has already been built in one format, you can build another map file without specifying all options. You can select the options on the Network tab only.

Make sure that you have write access to the map data.
  1. Click Tools > Maintenance > Rebuild Map.
    The Map Builder dialog appears.
  2. Select the Network check box on the left pane.
  3. On the Network tab, select the appropriate options for the map file to build.
  4. Click Start Build.
  5. When prompted to confirm the selected tasks to be performed, click Yes.
    The Map Builder dialog shows the build progress. When the build finishes, a confirmation message appears.
  6. Click OK.
  7. In the Map Builder dialog, click Close.
You can choose to close and restart MapEdit after this procedure.
