Finding Intersections on the Map

After selecting a street in the Street Wizard, view a list of all streets that intersect with the selected street.

  1. Click Tools > Street Wizard (or press F7), or click the Street Wizard button: Street Wizard

    The Street Wizard dialog appears.

  2. On the Street tab, type the street name in the empty field and press Enter. Do not include directions before street names (for example, to look for West Hampton Rd., type "Hampton" instead of "West Hampton").

    The Street Wizard shows street names similar to the name that was typed.

  3. Click the street name for which to view intersecting streets.
  4. Click the Cross tab, which lists all streets that intersect with the street selected on the Street tab.

  5. To view an intersection on the map, click the intersection in the Cross tab list, and do one or more of the following steps:
    • To zoom in on the intersection on the map, click the Zoom button: Zoom
    • To highlight the intersection on the map, click the Highlight Street or Point button: Highlight
    • To zoom in on or highlight intersections one after the other, click the Follow Current Selection (Zoom or Hilite) button: Hilite button
    • To specify whether to follow the selected street by zooming in on or by highlighting the street on the map, click the Zoom or Highlight Street or Point buttons: ZoomHighlight
  6. Click other streets on the Cross tab and view them on the map.
  7. Optional: To view intersections for a street that is listed on the Cross tab, click the cross street name, and then double-click the selected street name at the bottom of the Street Wizard dialog. The Cross tab lists streets that intersect with the newly selected street.
