Searching for and Adding New LDAP Groups

You can search for and add new LDAP groups to existing Security Group Mapping.

Security Group Mapping must be defined.
When searching for new LDAP groups to add to Security Group Mapping, changing the base and filter criteria may not show the new group in Search Results. The Search Results pane only displays groups from the current mappings if the Members of Mapped Groups Only check box is selected. Perform the following steps to find and add new LDAP groups to Security Group Mapping:
  1. Clear the Members of Mapped Groups Only check box in the Settings pane.
    Members of Mapped Groups Only is disabled.
  2. In the Search pane, change the filter criteria, and then perform the search.
  3. Click the new LDAP group in Search Results, and then click the security group you want to map it to in Security Group Mapping.
  4. Click New New button
    The Security Group Mapping table is updated.
  5. Select the Members of Mapped Groups check box to re-enable the setting.
We do not recommend performing the following method: Deleting the existing group mappings, performing the search, and then adding the mappings one by one.
