About IVR Prompts

IVR prompts are the per-recorded messages played for a caller at specific times during a call.

These voice messages used in the prompting process are stored in the form of audio (wav) files.

The prompts present information and options to callers. Depending on the technology used by a transit site, callers may respond through a push-button telephone keypad or the use of spoken words with voice recognition.
