About Voice Gateway

Voice Gateway is a third party application that can be installed on any standard Windows Server 2003 R2 or Linux server.

Trapeze IVR uses the Genesys Voice Platform (GVP) which integrates call processing, reporting, management, and application servers with Voice over IP (VoIP) networks, to deliver Web-driven dialog and call control services to callers." It provides an interface with the phone lines, accepts input from callers and sends, receives, and interprets call flow data from the Trapeze IVR application.

Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc. provides the voice processing platform software described in the following sections. This document assumes that you are using GVP version 8 or higher. The information provided here only covers the common procedures that users perform with Trapeze IVR. For more detailed information on the platform, refer to the Genesys user documentation.

The Voice Gateway is made up of services, each of which is responsible for a specific function in the system. The system is intentionally modular in design to ensure survivability of the system in the event of failure of a specific module.
