About Workspaces

A workspace refers to the user interface that contains the features such as menu options and commands that allow you to perform tasks based on your security permissions.

A workspace is where COM and related data and files that you have configured for your use or for a specific group are stored.

Some synonyms for workspace are workstation and screen. In this guide, workstation is used to indicate the physical computer while screen refers to features within COM such as COM Representative or COM Investigator.

The following sections describe how you can change the content and appearance of workspaces.
Note: The graphics showing the COM Representative and COM Investigator screens in this guide may not exactly match what is shown in your screens. The variations are caused mainly by differences in property settings and your custom requirements.
