IVR Integration: Imminent Arrival Notifications

DriverMate includes logic that is “triggered” and sets a flag for IVR to call the client.

Automated IVR Calls

For customers that have them implemented into their PASS systems, IVR systems are used to contact clients or notify clients of trips they have scheduled. Typically these are calls made to the client the night before the scheduled trip informing them to be ready within the scheduled ready window. IVR systems can also send Imminent Arrival calls to tell clients that their rides will be arriving shortly, and some can even be configured to send notifications as soon as the driver presses the Arrive button on their MDT.

The Trapeze PASS-IVR can be configured to trigger Imminent Arrival Calls using a few different methods.

Notifications generated from calculated EST time

For a specific event, the IVR Generator Service calculates the number of minutes (configurable) prior to the EST time and accordingly generates a flag for IVR to contact the client.

MDT Generated IVR notifications (geofencing)

If using MDT, the MDT's current GPS coordinates are used to calculate how much further the vehicle is from the location. If the vehicle is a certain number of miles away (configurable), the IVR sends a notification to call the client. You can also configure the system so that the notification is not sent more than 10 minutes before the Scheduled Ready Window.
