Attaching Client Documents

Documents submitted by clients, agencies, or institutions can be attached to client records.

Before you begin

Client Registration must be open.

About this task

Attached files are saved in the BinaryContent table in the database.

Procedure

  1. Search for and select the client.
  2. Click the Documents tab.
  3. Click Add a document.
  4. In the Select File dialog box, navigate to and select the document.
  5. Click Open.
    The file is listed in the document grid.
  6. Optional: Add a comment about the document:
    1. Select the document.
    2. Click Edit Comment.
      A new blank field appears.
    3. Type a comment.
    4. Click Apply.
      The comment is shown in the Comment column.
  7. Click the Save button:
    Diskette.
  8. Optional: To delete a document, select it in the document grid and press Delete on the keyboard.
