Plotting Freehand Polygons

If automatically generated polygons don't encompass the correct area, you can create your own polygon.

Before you begin

The Polygon Properties dialog box should be open.

Procedure

  1. Click the Plot tab.
  2. Select Do not snap.
  3. Move your pointer over the map.
  4. Press the SHIFT key and click the areas, one at a time, where you want to plot a point.
The points you plot connect to form an enclosed polygon.
  5. When the polygon is complete, click Apply.
The polygon is saved to the database.
