About Configuring PASS

A number of Trapeze applications must be configured before PASS can be used.

PASS uses both 32-bit and 64-bit applications. All required Trapeze applications should be installed by your Trapeze representative.

The Trapeze Service Shell, Trapeze6 Client Shell, Schedule Server, and DBEdit are available as 64-bit applications.

64-bit applications take advantage of the memory addressing and processing power of 64-bit machines and must connect to the database using 64-bit ODBC drivers.

The Trapeze4 Workstation and the Trapeze5 Client Shell are available only as 32-bit applications.

32-bit applications can run on 64-bit machines. However, they cannot take advantage of 64-bit machine performance and must connect to the database using 32-bit ODBC drivers.
