About Configuring the Trapeze6 Service Shell
Trapeze6 Service Shell configuration information is saved in text files called Profile files.
Profile files must include the following information:
- Data source information
- Includes the ODBC name and log in information that the Trapeze6 Service Shell uses to connect to the Trapeze database.
- Server information
- Includes the port that the Trapeze6 Client Shell uses to connect to the Trapeze6 Service Shell.
- Component files and service groups
- Contain services that are required for specific Trapeze applications.
Profile files are saved in the [drive:][path]\Config folder, where path is the directory where Trapeze6 is installed.
Profile files are named name.profile, where name is the application name that appears in the title bar of the Trapeze6 Service Shell and Trapeze6 Client Shells. You can run multiple application sessions on one machine by running shells with different profile files.
Profile files can be manually edited. You can also use the Profile Editor application to specify data source and server information.
