About Configuring the Trapeze4 Workstation

Trapeze software must be configured after it is installed on a workstation.

There are typically three parts to configuring the Trapeze4 Workstation:
  • User access must be configured.

This is done in the Trapeze6 Client Shell.

  • The Trapeze4 Workstation must be configured.

This is done in both the Trapeze6 Client Shell and the Trapeze4 Workstation by setting various properties.

  • Data must be configured for use by Trapeze applications.

This is done using the DBEdit utility.

While the majority of configuration is done at system setup by Trapeze personnel, system administrators may need to change configuration settings to reflect changing transit site needs. Trapeze recommends contacting Customer Care for assistance with configuration updates, but it is a good idea for system administrators to have a basic understanding of how the system works. Reading through Trapeze6 context property, system property, and user-defined property lists may help provide a better overall picture.

Note that database tables and fields are updated frequently, and DBEdit comparisons should be done whenever a newer version of Trapeze software is installed.
