Configuring Address Matcher

Address Matcher allows you to geocode addresses.

About this task

Address Matcher must be configured before it will work properly with your Trapeze applications. Note that there are multiple address matchers available and further configuration may be required for other Trapeze products.

Procedure

  1. In the Trapeze6 Client Shell, click Tools > Properties.
Depending on how your system was set up, Properties may be found in a different location.
    The Properties tab opens.
  2. Set and save the following properties:
    Property
    Value
    MAP > AddrMatch > Tp4Classic > Config > DSN
    MmsMap ODBC DSN.

If left blank, the DSN defined in the *.profile file will be used.

    MAP > AddrMatch > TpAddressPoint > Config > DSN
MmsMap ODBC DSN. If left blank, the DSN defined in the *.profile file will be used.

    MAP > AddrMatch > AddressManager > AddressMatcherList
Type a list of comma-separated values for any address matchers used.

For example, T4, LOC, BUS if TP4Classic, Location, and Bus Stop address matchers are used.

T4 should be included in the list.

    MAP > AddrMatch > AddressMatcherService

If dependencies are used, define their values as needed.
The Dependent Values dialog box with dependencies defined for the MAP/AddrMatch/AddressMatcherService property.
    Change the DepId to 1.
  3. Address Matchers can be further configured using Param options.
For example, for the MAP > AddrMatch > TP4Classic > Param properties, you can do the following:
