About Runs with Specific Start and End Times
How do I make some of my runs have specific start and end times?
Suppose you need to have two runs start at exactly 8:15 A.M. This can be accomplished by setting up a specific shift for these two runs.
- Earliest First signon
- Enter a value if a run must start no earlier than this time.
- Latest First signon
- Enter a value if a run must start no later than this time.
- Earliest First signoff
- Enter a value if a run must end no earlier than this time.
- Latest First signoff
- Enter a value if a run must end no later than this time.
- Min Runs
- Minimum number or percent of shifts of this type.
- Max Runs
- Maximum number or percent of shifts of this type.
Typically, you must define the earliest sign-on times and the latest sign-off times to coincide with the beginning and end of your service day. Remember that you need to allow extra time for deadhead if you specify that in the Job. For example, if you need a run beginning at 4:30 and you specify a 20-minute deadhead on pull-out, then you must have shifts with an earliest start time no later than 4:10.
If you need exactly two runs with the specified start times, set both the Min Runs and Max Runs values to 2. Note also that you can set an earliest time only, or a latest time only.
