What services should I outsource?

Some sites have the option to outsource a small portion of their trips to a taxi company. For them, an important issue is to identify what part of the service request imposes the greatest increase in the cost (total hours) of the solution. One way to get an answer to this question is to create a shift that essentially amounts to an undedicated piece of work. For example, a straight shift of one time interval in length (typically, fifteen minutes).

For example, in the following graphic, the solution includes six shifts at 7:30 A.M. that are each fifteen minutes in length. This suggests that 7:30 A.M. to 7:45 A.M. is the time when the most can be saved by outsourcing enough trips to save six vehicles.
