Creating Home Safeties Records

Home safeties are conditions and requirements that must be met before a client can be scheduled to be transported home.

About this task

As an incident is resolved and conditions improve, TRR users will update clients' home safety flags. Based on the home safeties defined in the system and the clients' mobility aids, the system will allow a return trip to be scheduled for a client if all of his or her home safeties have been satisfied.

For example, clients who use a wheelchair as a mobility aid must have electricity before a site will transport them back to their houses. A TRR user would set this client's home safety to Clear with electricity. However, clients at the same shelter who require an oxygen tank might also require gas heating to be functioning. In this case, the client's home safety is set to Clear with electricity and gas.

Home safeties should be ordered from the least functional (fewest requirements and resources) to the most functional.
