About Managing Provider Security

Providers are the operators of the paratransit service that supply the vehicles and often the drivers as well.

At your transit site, in addition to your own drivers and equipment, you may use providers from an external source. The providers that can be assigned depend on data set up in PASS ancillary data.

Trip Broker allows providers to accept, decline, and be updated about trips they make on behalf of the transit agency. When more than one transit agency, or providers, share a Trapeze database, you can limit users’ access to other providers’ data. With provider security, Trip Broker users see only the runs, drivers, vehicles, and trips assigned to their assigned providers.

Before setting up provider security, Providers ancillary data must be created in the Trapeze4 Workstation. Each provider can then be associated with a user group that can access the provider’s data.

Further specifications can be made about the information that users can view using the following security permission keys:
Trapeze4 > Real Time Scheduling > View Other Providers
Enables users to view other providers’ trips, but not edit them.
Trapeze4 > Real Time Scheduling > View Transfer Trips
Enables users to view, but not edit, other providers’ transfer trips if they own at least part of the transfer trip.
Trapeze4 > Real Time Scheduling > View All Trips In Client Booking Info
Enables users to see trips belonging to other providers when booking a new trip.

This option is useful for preventing double bookings.

Trapeze4 > Clients > Limited Client Info
Prevents users from viewing private client information in the Client/Booking Info dialog box.

Private information includes the client ID, gender, date of birth, social security/identification number, ADA eligibility, eligibility and suspension dates, disability type, account balance, and phone number.

For additional information or to change any of the data, contact a system administrator.
