Cost Details

The columns in the Cost screen show the values of the different cost items by run type and run type category:. You can choose to display the columns of the items relevant to your transit agency.

Columns in the Cost Screen

Column Description
Item Run type and run type category
Item Name Lists the run types and run type categories used
Break Time Period when operator is not working during a shift.
Clear Time

Time allowed for drivers to inspect their vehicles before they sign off at the end of their run.

Cost Cost of the runs of the specific run type or run type category
Day Premium Pay

Payment applied to work performed during a day shift on special days, for example on holidays as determined by the transit agency or contract rules.

Makeup Time

Time added to work time to comply with the minimum daily or weekly guarantee that is required by union contract.

Meal Break Time for break for meals that an operator is allowed on a run.
Number of Runs Number of runs for the specific run type or run type category
Pay Amount Pay of the runs of the specific run type or run type category
Pay Over Platform (Pay to Platform)
Pay Time

Time for which operators receive payment for their work.

Piece Break Time for a break that an operator is allowed between pieces of a run.
Platform Over Pay (Platform to Pay) Platform divided by pay time
Platform Time Time an operator is scheduled to operate a vehicle.
Report Time Time allowed for drivers to sign on and prepare for work at the start of their run.
Shift Break Time for a break that an operator is allowed between shifts.
Spread Over Time Time exceeding the period of time from the start of the first piece of work to the end of the last piece of run.
Spread Time

Time of the run depending on the parameters the transit agency has decided to include within this duration. Typically, the period of time measured from the beginning of the first shift to the end of the last shift.

Stand By Time Time spent by an operator while waiting for an assignment.
Travel Pay Time Portion of the Travel Time of an operator that is paid.
Travel Time

Time that an operator must travel in order to arrive at the location of the start of a route assignment

Wait Time

Time when operator waits for a vehicle to travel from a garage to a node or vice versa.

Work Excess Time Time in excess of Overtime threshold before premiums are applied.
Work Time Time that an operator works on a run.
