About Situation - Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous parameters are global in nature and do not depend on anything, that is, they are not dependent on a division or sign-up period.
Rounding Rules
This situation indicates which pay times and overtime are paid and by how much they are rounded off.
Examples of Rounding Rule parameters are Round Makeup Work Time Interval, Round Spread Time Interval, and Round Overtime Work Time. These support the rounding of work time and spread time to the nearest time interval before pay premiums.
Run Cutting
This situation allows you to apply the Randomize and Freeze features, set the values used for Depth and Effort, improve run types, among other functions.
Miscellaneous Globals
Shuttle Rules
This situation sets the number of shuttles you allow, the seating capacity for the shuttle vehicles, and how long a passenger should wait for a shuttle. You can also limit or discourage the use of shuttles using these parameters.
Miscellaneous Run
This situation covers other parameters that are related to runcutting rules.
- Disable regular relief at unattended layover start - If selected, unattended reliefs are hidden (not displayed) so that the relief points are not used at the start of an unattended layover.
Initial Chop-up
This uses an algorithm that “chops up” blocks into reasonable pieces so that the other algorithms have a better chance of producing legal runs. It takes all one-piece runs and uncut pieces and cuts them according to the selected parameters.
The minimum and maximum parameters show the smallest and largest platforms allowed for one-piece runs. The Early and Late relief threshold parameters refer to the time before and after which reliefs are ignored, respectively. The First/last piece cost increase factor refers to the cost of the first and last piece of a block. Marking the Maximize first/last piece parameter causes the system to maximize the size of the first/last piece in a block if the block starts/ends before/after the early/late relief threshold.
