Sample Driver Block

The following table shows an example of how trips are blocked in vehicle and driver blocks.

At point A, you have a series of train arrivals as follows: 6:00, 6:10, 6:20, 6:30 and train departures of: 6:03, 6:13, 6:23, 6:33.
As shown in the following table, the vehicle blocks are set up with the 6:00 arrival hooked to the 6:03 departure, the 6:10 arrival is hooked to the 6:13 departure, and so on. However, in the next two columns, the driver blocks are blocked with the 6:00 arrival hooked to the 6:13 departure, the 6:10 arrival is hooked to the 6:23 departure, and so on. This gives the operator a 13-minute layover usually to allow him/her to cross over to the other platform or walk to the other end of the platform.
Note: When driver blocks are activated, they are the blocks that will be runcut.
