About Travel Times

Without travel times, the results you can achieve in an automatic runcut are going to be limited. Travels have to be properly established in order to properly cost your runs.

The Travels tab contains the list of all travel times that are used in automatic runcutting between:

  • A service dependent garage and a relief point
  • A relief point and a relief point

The two types of travel are:

  • Swing: Operator travels between two pieces of work.
  • Garage: Operator travels from a garage to the start location of his or her run and from the end location of his or her run back to a garage.
Note: What constitutes travel time varies among transit sites. For example, some transit sites that pay travel time consider total travel time to include walking time + traveling time on bus + waiting time. There are also transit sites that do not pay for the travel time.
