About Accrual Rules
In Accrual Rules ancillary data, you can specify how to calculate accruals using information from Accrual Grid ancillary data.
Accrual rules can include the following information:
- Start date for measuring employees’ months of service.
- Whether accrued time can be used immediately, or must be saved until the following accrual year.
- Whether accruals are generated for months, pay periods, or years, and whether they are dated on period start or end dates.
- Maximum amounts of accrued time.
- Methods of handling changes in employees’ active status, job class, and accrual bands.
- Rules for disqualifying people from accruing time if they are absent for certain periods of time.
You can specify different rules for each accrual type, employee type group, and division group combination.
