Reloading the Dictionary

For performance reasons, the dictionary is kept in memory and needs to be reloaded every time you modify it. To accomplish this, the Realspeak Host service must be restarted.

  1. To open the Windows Service Control Manager, click Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
  2. Browse to the Realspeak Host service.
  3. Select the service and click Restart.
  4. Optional: Click Stop and then, click Start.
Note: Any active calls are dropped when restarting the Realspeak Host service, so it is best to reload the dictionary during periods of low call volume.
