Assigning Paraservice Area Routes to Runs

If you have defined a zonal timetable in the system, you may assign a paraservice area route to a run.

Before you begin

Runs must be open.

About this task

Once assigned to a route, the run only operates within the times, days, and areas of the route. For example, if a run is set to operate from 14:00 to 22:00, but the route times are restricted from 14:00 to 18:00, the run only operates from 14:00 to 18:00.

If the run is assigned to specific polygons in addition to the paraservice area route, the run is allowed to travel in BOTH the polygons specified for the route and the assigned polygons for the run.

Runs that are not assigned to routes are free to travel anywhere in the service area. If there is no service area defined, then a run is free to operate anywhere.

Procedure

  1. Search for the run to which to assign a paraservice area route.
  2. Click the Detail tab.
  3. In the Para Service Area list, click the route to which the run is assigned.
  4. Click the Save button:
