Analyzing Trips from Trip Booking

You can confirm trips meet ADA requirements by analyzing them when creating bookings.

Before you begin

The Trapeze4 Workstation must be open.

The Trip Booking user-defined properties Trip Plan Analyzer and Auto Search FX Itineraries should be set to Yes. The system property IPA > Batch Name should be defined.

About this task

PASS-IPA provides fixed route itinerary information within PASS Trip Booking. This allows you to provide clients with fixed route information when you aren't able to provide a paratransit trip.

For transit providers that are ADA-compliant, paratransit service is only required when fixed route service is available. If PASS-CERT is not used, reservationists can check the Trip Plan Analyzer Wizard on every trip request to see if a fixed route solution is available. If the Trip Plan Analyzer Wizard is left open, available route information is updated when each new trip is saved (that is, you do not need to relaunch the wizard to see available fixed route options for the next client's trip).

For sites that use PASS-CERT, PASS-IPA extends the client eligibility testing functionality. Fixed route service availability can be used as an eligibility condition (Fixed Route Available) for allowing or denying each paratransit trip request. The Trip Plan Analyzer wizard can then be used to provide details about fixed route solutions as needed.
