Editing a Booking from Schedule Editor

When a detail concerning a booking such as the pick-up or drop-off address, requested time, or passenger information has changed, it is important to record this change in the system.

Before you begin

Schedule Editor must be open to Schedules view.

About this task

A scheduled or unscheduled booking can be edited from Schedule Editor or from Trip Administration.

Procedure

  1. Select the schedule to be edited.
  2. Locate the booking to be edited.
    If you know the client name or the booking ID, use the Find dialog box. You can also find the booking in the unscheduled trip list (if the trip has not been scheduled yet), run itinerary, or all scheduled events list.
  3. Select either the pick-up or drop-off event for the booking.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click and click Edit Booking.
    • Click the Edit Booking button:
      Pencil and three dots.
    The original booking appears in Trip Booking.
  5. Make the necessary changes.
  6. Click Save.
    A warning message appears.
  7. Click Yes.
    One of the following occurs:
    • If the booking is not scheduled, the system updates the booking.
    • If the booking has already been scheduled, a warning message appears.
  8. If a warning message appears:

    Reschedule the booking in the Schedule Booking Wizard to a more suitable run Click Yes.
    Unschedule the booking Click No.

Results

If you choose to reschedule the booking but fail to complete the rescheduling process the booking is placed on the unscheduled trip list. In the rare case that your change does not conflict with the scheduled service (such as when adding a comment in the Comment field), the system updates the booking without prompting you to reschedule or unschedule the booking.
