Batch Scheduling Bookings on a Live Schedule

This method allows you to batch schedule all your trips (activated subscription and casual) occurring on a live schedule.

Before you begin

Trip Administration must be open and subscriptions for the live day that you wish to schedule must have already been activated.

About this task

Use this feature under the following circumstances:
  • The volume of subscription trips at your site is not high enough to justify the use of templates.
  • You want to schedule unscheduled casual trips that remain after you have already batch scheduled using template matching.
  • The site’s volume of service is reduced. For example, holidays.

Procedure

  1. Select a schedule using the Select Schedule dialog box:
    1. Select the Schedule check box.
    2. Click the ellipsis button (…).
    3. In the Schedule list, click LIVE.
    4. In the Schedule list, select a date.
    5. Click OK.
  2. In Trip Administration, select the Act, Cas, Sch, Unsch, and Both filters to show the activated subscription and casual trips.
  3. Click Display.
  4. Click on the upper left corner of the grid to highlight all the trips in the grid.
  5. Right-click and click Batch.
    The Batch Parameters dialog box appears.

  6. In the Choose From frame, select Para (and Taxi if you schedule taxi runs), and then select the scheduling check box parameters you want.
  7. Optional: Specify additional scheduling parameters:
    1. Click Parameters.
      The Solution Parameters dialog box appears.
    2. Select a Parameter set, or specify the parameters.
    3. Click OK.
      Do not select any of the options in the Match Options frame.
  8. Click Start.
    The Batch Monitor dialog box shows the scheduling progress.

  9. Once the batch scheduling process is complete, click Close.
  10. In Trip Administration, click Display.
    Scheduled and unscheduled activated trips appear.
