Scheduling Live Trips by Matching to Template Schedules

After you have created your template schedules and batch scheduled template trips, you can start to batch schedule trips for live days by matching them to the template schedules.

Before you begin

Trip Administration must be open.

About this task

Before you begin, make sure you have activated the subscriptions for the Live day you want to schedule, created a template schedule for the weekday of the live schedule on which you are working, and scheduled the template trips. Once the match is complete, you must batch your remaining unscheduled trips (casual bookings) if you have booked casual trips before the matching process was completed.

Procedure

  1. Select the schedule by clicking the Schedule check box and then clicking the ellipsis button (…). The Select Schedule dialog box appears.
  2. In the Type list, click Live.
  3. In the Schedule list, specify a date. For example, 08-08-2020.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Select the Act, Unsch, Sch, and Both filters to show activated subscription trips.
  6. Click Display.
  7. Click the upper left corner of the grid to highlight all the trips in the grid.
  8. Right-click on the same corner and click Batch.
  9. In the Batch Parameters dialog box, click the ellipsis button (…) next to the Match to Schedule field.
    The Select Schedule dialog box appears.
  10. In the Type list, click Template.
  11. In the Schedule list, click a week day. For example, Tuesday.
    Click OK.
  12. Select the Match bookings against this schedule check box.
  13. Clear the Schedule the unscheduled bookings check box.
  14. Choose additional match options and general batch schedule options as needed.
  15. Click Start.
    A warning message appears.
  16. Click OK.
    The Batch Monitor dialog box shows you the status of the batch scheduling process.
  17. When the batch is complete, click Close.
  18. Optional: To view any unscheduled activated trips, in Trip Administration, clear the Sch check box and click Display.
