Vehicle Details

Vehicle capacities must be defined before vehicle records can be added to the database.

Field Name Description
Vehicle Name Alphanumeric vehicle name.
Note: The system sorts records by vehicle name in ascending order. For example, 1–100 or A–Z.
License Vehicle's license plate number.
Cap. Type Vehicle capacity type.
Provider Provider assigned to the vehicle.
MDT ID MDT ID (if the vehicle is equipped with an MDT).
MDT Autologin If selected, the MDT Server will automatically log the vehicle in without any activity from the driver. Messages will be sent to the vehicle through the MDT.
MDT Group If multiple MDT servers are used, click an MDT Group.

Vehicles can be assigned to groups with each MDT Server connected to a group.

For example, one set of vehicles may have MDTs, a second set may have fax servers, and a third set may be a different vendor.

Vehicle Type Vehicle type.

Vehicle Types ancillary data must be created by the system administrator.

Garage Garage from which the vehicle pulls out at the beginning of the run and pulls into at the end of the run.
Supervisor (MDT sites only) If selected, the vehicle is equipped with the supervisory unit used to monitor other vehicles.

InActive If selected, the vehicle is marked inactive.
Use AVL (MDT sites only) If selected, the MDT Server and In AVL are enabled. When the vehicle reports its position, the MDT Server or the MDT In AVL Agent inserts a user-defined break (representing the real-time AVL) into the itinerary. This check box allows the dispatcher to identify the vehicles for which to enable or disable the Use AVL feature.
Last Wash Date of the vehicle's last wash.
Last Service Date of the vehicle's last service.
Last Oil Change Date of the vehicle's last oil change.
Inspection Date of the vehicle's last inspection.
Year Year the vehicle was manufactured.
Make Make of the vehicle.
Odometer Reading Odometer reading of the vehicle.

This value is not updated by the system.

State Abbreviation for the state or province where the vehicle is registered.
Description Description of the vehicle.
Mobile Phone Phone number associated with the vehicle.
Fuel Type1 If the fuel type of the vehicle is different from the default, click the primary fuel type.
Fuel Type2 If the vehicle has two tanks and uses different types of fuel, click the secondary fuel type.
Odom. Unit Unit used in measuring the distance that the vehicle travels.
Para If selected, the vehicle is used for paraservice.
Flex If selected, the vehicle is used for FLEX service.
Pre CheckList (MDT sites only) Checklist the vehicle operator must complete before logging on to the system.
Post CheckList (MDT sites only) Checklist the vehicle operator must complete after logging off of the system.
Comments Any additional information about the vehicle.
