Finding a Street Using Street Wizard

You can search for specific streets using Street Wizard.

Before you begin

Street Wizard must be open.

Procedure

  1. Click the Street tab.
    All streets recorded in the database are shown in alphabetical order.
  2. In the Street field, type the street name, omitting any prefixes and suffixes.
    For example, if the street is West Norwalk Rd., omit the direction (West) and street type (Rd.) and type only Norwalk.
  3. Press Enter.
    The Street Wizard scrolls down the list to similar street names.
  4. Optional: Locate the street on the map:
    1. Open the system map.
      If the map is not currently open, press CTRL + M or click the System Map button:
      Planet Earth.
    2. Click the Zoom to current selection button:
      Magnifying glass.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Cross tab and select the nearest cross street.
    • Click the Range tab and select the appropriate street number range.
    The selected street can be copied to the street field in the active window.
  6. Click the Copy Selection button:

    The street selected on the Street tab appears in the address box in red text, indicating that the address has not been geocoded.
