Street Wizard Commands

Specific options are available in the toolbar of the Street Wizard.

The Street, Cross, and Range tab commands are slightly different from the ones available on the Geocoder tab.

Name Button Description
Close Door partially open. Closes the Street Wizard.
Highlight street or point Light bulb. Highlights the selected street, intersection, or point on the map.
Zoom to current selection Magnifying glass. Displays a close-up view of a selected street or intersection on the map.
Follow current selection (zoom or hilite) Two footprints.

Displays on the map any street or intersection highlighted from the Street or Cross tabs.

When a message appears at the bottom saying Follow: how? (Press Zoom or Hilite), click the Zoom or Hilite button.

Mark current selection Highlighter.

(Available on the Cross and Range tabs only.)

Marks the specific street or cross street on the system map.

To either highlight or zoom in on your selection, click any street in the list, and then click the Hilite or Zoom buttons.

Each street you click is marked on the map.

Copy Selection Two pieces of paper, each with the top right corner folded over.

Transfers information from the Street Wizard to the active address box.

The Street Wizard does not transfer street ranges to the active window. Type the exact address number manually.

You can also double-click the selection to place it in the active address box.

Geocode Earth with two yellow dots. (Available on the Cross and Range tabs only.)

Allows you to geocode an intersection or street segment from the Street Wizard.

On the Cross tab, the tooltip states: Geocode to the selected intersection.

On the Range tab, the tooltip states: Geocode to the middle of the selected segment.
