Map Configuration Options

When you want to import data files, you can choose to filter some of the data elements using the options that appear in the Map Configuration screen.

These fields and options are shown on the screen after selecting a map data type and clicking Import.

Field Description
OSM File Location (Shown only when OpenStreet Map is selected) File path of the folder where you want the imported data saved.
Write Tags

(Shown only when OpenStreet Map is selected) If selected, the system imports the tag lists with the data.

Select ODBC Data Source Name

(Shown only when Malteze (T4) is selected) Select the Data Source Name (DSN) of the database where you want the imported data saved.

User Login (Shown only when Malteze (T4) is selected) Type your user name.
Password (Shown only when Malteze (T4) is selected) Type your password.
ESRI Files Folder

(Shown only when ESRI (.shp) is selected) File path of the folder where you want the imported data

saved.

Delete Map Page Polygons

If selected, the map page polygons data is not imported.

Delete Address Points

If selected, the address points data is not imported.
Delete Street Types If selected, the street types data is not imported.

Delete Street Directions

If selected, the street directions data is not imported.

Expand Coverage Area

If selected, tolerance is allowed for points to be slightly outside of the map's coverage area.
Polygon Options/Arc Options (The options under each shape type are the same.)
Import Enabled If selected, the polygon or arc data is imported.
Keep User Edits If selected, the system retains the changes made to the map.
Delete options Chose one of these options when deciding which data you do not want to import:
  • Delete All
  • Delete Dataset(s)
  • Delete with CFCC value(s)

If you do not want to delete any data and want the imported data added to your current data, click the Keep existing records (append) option.

Keep existing records (append)

If selected, the existing records are retained and the new data is added to them.
