Adding AutoPopulate Criteria

The AutoPopulate Rule Criteria pane allows you to define the rules or criteria that must be met in order for the attribute rule to take effect. It is shown in the lower section of the Attribute Rule Configuration screen.

Open the BSM portal.
  1. Click Attribute Rule Configuration in the Stop Manager list.
    The Attribute Rule Configuration screen appears.

    By default, the upper pane of the screen is open while the bottom pane, AutoPopulate Rule Criteria is closed.

  2. On the upper right corner of the upper pane, click the Close button: Close button.
    The upper pane is closed and the AutoPopulate Rule Criteria pane opens.
  3. In the Rule Type drop-down list, make sure that AutoPopulate is selected.
  4. In the toolbar in the first column of the grid, click the New button: New button.
    The Add Populate Criteria dialog appears.

  5. Specify the appropriate values in the following fields:
    • Parent Object Type - Choose Point Type or Amenity Type.

    • Parent Type - If you chose Point Type as the Parent Object Type, choose the appropriate Parent type, for example: Stop, Node, or Kiosk. If you chose Amenity Type, choose the appropriate amenity.

    • Child Object Type - If you chose Point Type as the Parent Type, choose Amenity Type or Attribute Type. If you chose Amenity Type, your choice is Attribute Type by default.

    • Child Type - If you chose Amenity Type as the Child Object Type, choose the appropriate amenity. If you chose Attribute Type for the Child Object Type, choose the appropriate attribute associated with the selected amenity type.

    • Compare Mode - Choose the appropriate comparison operator to be applied when the new rule is compared to other rules, for example: Equal To or Greater Than.
      Note: Your choice from the first field determines the options that appear in the succeeding field, for example, the selected Parent Object Type determines the options shown in the Parent Type field.
  6. From the Value list, choose the option to indicate availability, size, condition, or material of the Child type.
    Note: The Value field is activated after you select the Child type. The Value field appears as a check box or text field depending on the selected Child type. For example if you selected BenchType, the options in the Value list may be Wood or Metal.
  7. In the Weight field, enter the value to determine the importance of the criteria.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Optional: To apply the selected values to existing attributes, click Apply, which is in the upper right corner of the screen.

    To close the AutoPopulate Rule Criteria pane and open the upper pane again, click the Open button beside the Apply button: Open button.
