Adding Run Relief Restrictions

Restrictions are limitations that you place on reliefs. The system applies these restrictions when relief events are updated.

BlockBuster allows you to apply relief restrictions by line, node, time of day, and relief type. For example, you do not want to have any reliefs on a line specifically from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. in certain areas for safety reasons.

1. In the Navigator, click the Run Reliefs Restrictions button. The Run Relief Restrictions screen is displayed.
2. Required: From the LineGroup list, select the line group of the line where you want to apply the restriction.
3. In the Time columns, type the start and end of the time period when you want the restriction to apply.
4. Required: From the Line list, select the line where you want to apply the restriction.
5. Required: From the Node list, select the specific node where you want to apply the restriction.
6. Optional: From the Relief Type list, select <All> or an appropriate relief type.
7. Optional: In the Exc Abbr field, if you select All, reliefs on trips with any type of exception are not applied (restricted). If you select an exception, reliefs on trips with the selected exception are not applied. If you select Off, the system does not consider the exceptions when checking trips for relief restrictions, the system does not consider the exceptions when checking trips for relief restrictions.
8. Click another row or click the Save button:

A message appears asking you to confirm that you want to save the current record. Click Yes.
