Tasks in FX Before Runcutting

Before runcutting in BlockBuster, there are tasks that you must perform in Trapeze FX to make sure that your data is complete and free from errors.

1. Run the FX Data Integrity tool to check for missing or duplicate data. Refer to the section on “Data Integrity” in the FX User Guide on performing a data integrity check.
   1. Ensure that all blocks were assigned garages and divisions during blocking for the line groups that you are going to runcut.
   2. If your route information shows any missing data, return to blocking or to trip building and correct the data errors before runcutting.
   3. Ensure that your relief locations have been assigned to the appropriate nodes in the division and service you are going to runcut.
2. Assign Garages and Divisions to Blocks.
3. Have a specific strategy to achieve your runcutting objective.
4. Review previous run cuts as a basis of making an estimate of your run requirements. Load a runcut file that you created and applied previously that closely matches the trip and block data of the division and service group on which you are working.
5. Print a copy of the statistics of the previous runcuts you want to reproduce for reference.
