Drive Tab Options

The following table lists what the system performs when an option is selected or a value is entered in the Drive Edit dialog box.

Table 1. Drive Options
Option Description
Search in The value entered determines the radius of the area within which the system searches for stops along the selected route trace. The system uses the unit of measure specified in the Distance property in File > Properties > Formats.
Nodes Only The system looks for nodes only. (All nodes are displayed if the context Stops and Nodes have no agency property has been selected.)
Stops Only The system looks for stops only.
Both

The system looks for both nodes and stops. Nodes are added as nodes, and stops added as stops. If a node is required to be added as a stop, you must manually edit it after it has been added to the line.

For the Nodes Only and Both options, all nodes are displayed if the Stops and Nodes have no agency context property has been selected.

In Service Only The system looks for stops that are associated with the route in the current context.
Right Side The side of the road on which the vehicle will be travelling towards its destination. In most cases, the Right Side option is used for both directions of a route. (It is selected by default.)
Left Side

Used only in cases where a vehicle must go to a stop on the left side of the street, for example, a shared stop at a terminal or around a loop.

Last Point

Clears the last point on the trace.

All Points Clears the drive selection
Auto The system automatically shows the stops in correct sequence between time points in the grid in the lower section of the dialog box.
